Not Bad BJJ is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym in Cobb County, Georgia — training Marietta and East Cobb residents in adult BJJ (gi and no-gi), competition, and a serious kids program.
Marietta covers a wide area — from the square downtown out to East Cobb, Sandy Plains, and West Cobb. We serve grapplers coming from all of it: Cobb Parkway, Terrell Mill, Lower Roswell, Marietta Square, and East Cobb pockets.
What we teach in Marietta
Head instructor Kevin Sherrill runs the room — competing BJJ black belt, 5x PGF veteran (S3 Finalist & Team Champion), NCAA Division I wrestler at the University of Northern Iowa, High School All-American, and head coach of a 38-6 MMA team including a UFC Performance of the Night. His coaching combines the pressure and top-position work of high-level wrestling with modern BJJ submissions and guard play.
- · Adult Fundamentals — zero experience required
- · No-Gi — three sessions a week; modern grappling with leg-lock literacy taught progressively
- · All Levels Gi — twice weekly; white through black belts on the same mat
- · Kids BJJ (6-13) — mixed-age class weekdays at 5:30pm
- · Competition Team — IBJJF, New Breed, ADCC — open to any student who wants to compete
Marietta context
Marietta has a strong martial arts scene with several established BJJ academies. We're not trying to be the biggest — we're trying to be the honest option. That means: no belt factories, no six-year-old black belts, no long-term contracts, and no membership pressure. If you want a serious room with a real coach, come try it.
Membership is $180/month unlimited for adults or kids. Family rates for two-plus. First class is free — no card, no commitment.
